Hon. Alhaji Dr. Kandeh Yumkella joins APRA Member Countries with host German Government to discuss the design of financial instruments to mobilize capital for the implementation of projects in Session II – “High -Level on Accelerating the Energy Transition and De-risking Investments” Sierra Leone, like most countries in sub-Saharan Africa face a high cost of capital for needed investments and do not offer sovereign guarantees to investors.

As a founding Member of APRA, Sierra Leone will benefit from the German Government’s – Green Guaranty Group programme to de-risk investments. As an active member along with Kenya, Ghana and others, Sierra Leone will actively be involved in shaping the programme as an APRA member country.
